Jmotowerkz EG2

At the end of its glory, I've spent close to $40k on it. This includes a fully customised front bumper, 2nd full respray, custom carbon fibre headlights, custom gauge holder, components speakers, sub woofer, full rebuilt engine for $11k, custom exhaust, radiator, oil cooler, 4.9 final drive, etc etc. its just too much to mention. at this moment, my Delsol clears the 100km/hr mark in less than 5.5 secs, on a beautiful b16a4. Please notice that its still 1.6 litres, and it has Vtec. Eventually, Delsol was running on a set of Brian Crower camshafts and Hondata programming. Body work and all engine parts were painfully selected by my mechanic, Joker Wong, the proud owner of Jmotowerkz. His time and effort spent on my Delsol was commendable. I would like to thank him for his time spent.

Never has someone built such a beautiful Vtec engine, and this Vtec, will stay with me forever, etched in my memories. Thank you Joker.

Civic CRX Delsol EG2

I took over this car, on the 2nd of Jan. I thought, what a nice start for the new year. With a 2dr coupe, 2 seater car, it was a wonderful experience driving it. Although it was a cheap car, it invited many stares as it was such a rare car in the market. Money started going towards the car. With the meagre salary of $1700 a month, i had lots of trouble. Installment was $400, petrol was $400 a month, i was almost left with nothing after my food and cigarettes. But still, every other cent was for this car.

1 week after driving this car, i went into a 180 degree spin. Shitty, really shitty feeling, when u know u did well driving, but the car just wouldn't obey. I then swapped out the 16" rims and threw out the old tyres for a new set of 15" rims, and Potenza ZIII tyres. Best road tyres your can ever get, grippy on both wet and dry. I never had a skid moment in my Delsol ever again.

Delsol looked crappy, so i rebuilt the whole external body, had all the dinks knocked out, and had a full bodykit customised onto it. Evo7 DAMD front bumper, 350Z rear bumper, 350Z side skirts, relocated number plate recess. The whole kit cost me $1300, which was a really steep price. I paid it, as i don't really mind paying for good workmanship. The difference can be felt, poor workmanship stuff cracks all the time, and mine, just really fine, it really holds up. The full respray was $1050, i had it done in 2 tone, black and white. Simple colour which withstands the test of time. It proved to be a wise choice. Slowly, the other Delsol owners started talking, and they fully understand the time and effort I've put into my Delsol. I wouldn't say much, but, even till now, the Delsol forum guys still know about my ride, and all the positive comments you'd be able to receive when you talk to them about it, will let you know that my ride is really given the best.

Civic CRX Delsol EG2

My first Vtec car. Hell of a ride. I remember buying at the end of 2005, just 1 week after i passed my license on the 8th of Dec. It wasn't really love at first sight. I just didn't want to buy an EG6. It was way too common, way to crappy on the interior.

My Delsol was crappy too. Tyres were worn out, the body paint job was crappy and dirty, the rubbers were not in their right places, the auto roof was spoilt, the rear windows collected water, the roof was leaking because the car body was warped. The brakes were leaking, the steering was dull, the drive shafts were making weird noises, the gears were hard to engage. Believe me or not, I didn't even test drive the car when i bought it. It was the only Delsol available in the market at that point, and i dove head into it. Gave me many headaches, fun, laughter, tears etc. All of the emotions u get to know throughout your life, happened to me and my Delsol.

I used to say 'Civc? Wa lao, ah beng chia leh... i dun like.'
Definitely, everybody thinks so. Even tilll now, i still think Civic is an ah beng car. Guess this feeling will never change no matter what.

I started out late, never willing to move my bones to take a license. I kept dragging it, drag drag drag, until i was 21. But before i get to my license, i wanna talk abt my mentor.

I am a regular, still a regular at the army. And of course, talk about regular life, its all abt money, girls, and cars. Who gives a damn abt the career? So long as you do what you're told, you're as good as safe.
Damien, the only guy i have met, to have me thinking about cars. Damien drove an EG9 then. Not amazingly pretty, not amazingly 'tiong', just the typical 4dr 1993 Civic. Nothing fanciful. Until he took me for a ride.

My first vtec, CTE tunnel, gear 2, Screaming VTEC, Powerful Pull. I can find no other words for it. Since then, i've got my direction set. Honda it will be, and Vtec it must have.

Booked my lessons for my license. Cleared all and got my license within 3 months. Great effort, $1000 poorer but, great effort. Didn't expect to get my license in 3 months! Mum and dad were proud. Dad knew he was getting a headache. Soon enough....

Sgcarmart, my only source of finding a car, and getting info from it all. Blind to all other facts, spotted the model i wanted, and i needed, so i hounded dad for it. Here starts the first Love of my life, and always my love. Honda EG2, Civic CRX Delsol.

Vtec Introduction

Vtec, not the best engineering in this world, but it has won millions over. Love Vtec, love Honda.
